Purpose of this Module

A sense of freedom to play with code.

Learners enter this Module from small to zero coding experience, and finish with at least 2 coding sketches of their own—demonstrating an understanding of JavaScript syntax (how to write/read code) and how graphics are drawn.

What we cover

• What p5.js is
• How to draw basic shapes in p5.js
• How to interact with your mouse using p5.js

Total time duration

No more than 90 minutes (one class session)

• Speed Exercise 1: Draw an animal
• Speed Exercise 2: Draw a habitat for your animal
• Optional class collab: Add something to your friend’s animal
